This is a fascinating piece about landscape design, park design and the possible future of the ground beneath us. If parks and public ground space is designed by computer, then the next logical step is to map the ground just as designed - so that every hill and valley is produced like it would be in a video game.

Once you’re building a park in this manner, then you might as well network it together. And that presents a host of exciting and frightening possibilities. What if the ground you were walking on could record and analyze your movement?

This sounds like science fiction, but it’s happening now in limited capacity, and can only grow from here. Is your yard tracking cookies?
